She was predeceased by: her brother Melvin Lembke (Bud). She is survived by: her brother Bud; her sons, Steven and Richard; her spouse Art Nelson; her children, Steve Giere (Sharlee) of Battle Ground, Susan Ryan (Giere) and Lisa DeMaio (Giere); her sister Colleen Winter (Caye) of Camarillo; and also, Steve, Brookings, Art, Sue and Mike. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In the end, when Art was suffering from Alzheimer's, Elly lovingly cared for him at home until he died at the age of 83.
