He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth O. Jones Degler; his parents, Dorothy Degler and Albert Degler; his son Albert Degler; and his siblings, Jack Degler, Kathryn, Marie, Evelyn, Sue, Lois, Nellie and Joan.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Wilcox (Clifford Jr) of St. Francisville, Charlotte Maxwell (Dale) of St. Francisville, Caroline Travis (Jerry) of Ethel, LA and Connie Dolan (John) of Vicksburg, MS; and his siblings, Midge Ashbrook of Newark, OH, Betty Mortimer of Philadelphia, PA and Joe Degler of Gladstone, OR. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
