It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary-Elma Shotts formerly of Gilchrist, Oregon, born in Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on April 19, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Helen Allen; her sisters, Helen Vandersluis and Ruthie Reubi; and her children, Marjorie Calhoun, Charlie Shotts, Carla Hoffman, Andy Shotts and Chris Shotts. She was also cherished by spouses, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Covid put an end to most of her favorite activities, which was very hard on her. Thankfully, she had just moved to the Springs at Greer Gardens prior to the Pandemic, where she lived independently in her own apartment.
Donations can be made in Mary-Elma's memory to the First United Methodist Church in Eugene.
