He is survived by: his mother Sally Louise Smith (Ames); his wife Margaret Higby; his daughter Melissa; his children-in-law, Randy Slate (Michael) of Canby, Oregon and Kiara Higby (Dustin) of Cornelius; his stepfather Jack Smith of Beaverton; his siblings, Cindy Higgins of Keizer and Kenny; his sister-in-law Ely Higby of Hillsboro, Oregon.; his grandchildren, Kasen Higby, Makenzie Higby, Kody Higby, Kasey Higby and Kory Higby; his nephew Brad Davis of Newberg; and his nieces, Amy Davis of Beaverton and Misty Williams of Portland, Oregon..
