He was predeceased by: his father James Kenneth "Pete" Peters. He is survived by: his mother Mary Lou Peters (Hills) of Forest Grove, Oregon; his sons, Josh (Nikki Peters) and Benjamin "Ben" (Jenny Peters); his brother Rus; his sister-in-law Janet Peters of Forest Grove; and his sisters, Debi (Tom Bernhardt) and Kathy (Tom Clock). He is also survived by his three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
