He was predeceased by: his parents, Espiridion Salgado Velasquez and Margarita Lemus. He is survived by: his wife Maria Dolores Salgado Velasquez of Mexico; and his children, Gilberto Chavez Salgado of Mexico, Aurelia Chavez Salgado of Mexico, Joel Chavez Salgado of Mexico, Olivia Chavez Salgado of Mexico, Lucia Chavez Salgado of Cornelius, Oregon, Fidelina Chavez Salgado of Mexico, Arnulfo Chavez Salgado of Forest Grove, Oregon, Martha Chavez Salgado of Mexico and Fidel Chavez Salgado of Hillsboro, Oregon. He is also survived by thirty-eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
