He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. "Gus" Shine and Mamie Elizabeth Shine (Taylor); his siblings, Bill Shine, Richard Shine and Mary Peterson; and his daughters, Candra Self and Alice Heine.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Shine of Hillsboro, Oregon; his children, Keith Shine (Nicole Broughton) and Vickie; his son-in-law Barry Miller of Salem; his sister Yvonne; his brother-in-law Ron Jones of McHenry, Illinois.; and his grandchildren, T. J. (Erica Melendez), Melonie (Joe Calderon), Brandon (Allie Townsend), Derek Shine (Dylan Shine) of Hillsboro and Makayla Spradlin of Redmond. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
