Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his father Terry Herb. He is survived by: his mother Linda Ambler; his stepfather Jim Ambler of Forest Grove; his brother Trevor (Vicki Herb) of Forest Grove; his nephew Austen (Brittany Herb) of Yamhill; his niece Mackenzie Taylor (Guillermo Huato) of Portland; and his uncles, Bob Herb (Brenda) of Hillsboro, Bruce Herb of Maryville, TN and Keith Satchwell of Costa Rica.

He was a lifetime member of the Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation.
