He was predeceased by: his parents, David B. Edwards and Ethel V. Edwards (Engell). He is survived by: his wife Daisy Edwards of Forest Grove, Oregon; his children, Deann (Gene Sanders), Greg (Marcy Edwards), Kurt Edwards (Katherine) of Victorville and Barton Hege of Argyle, Texas; his sisters, Janet (Bob Oswalt) and Janice Bentley of Cornelius, Oregon.; and his grandchildren, Jeremy (Holly Sanders), Michael (Juana Sanders), Tim Sanders (Danielle), Jorge Gomez (Ashleigh Edwards), Kaelee (Matt Gifford), Kirstie (Max Rickert), Jonathan (Pacience Edwards), Mark (Mackenzie Edwards) and Victoria Edwards (Bryce Hege). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
