With solemn reverence, we commemorate David Charles Rood of Florence, Oregon, whose life came to an end on April 7, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mavis Rood; his brother Frank Bicknell Rood III; and his father Frank Bicknell Rood Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Maryann Rood (Lind); his children, Erin (Aric Robertson), Sarah (Zach Lillebo), Tiffany Rood of Myrtle Point, Julie (Brad Jones), Merry Sue (Bruce Hardenburger), Tim (Donna Cornish) and Susie Richards (Eric Stinger); and his sister Janet (Larry Richards). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews and 1 niece.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cross Road Assembly of God (1380 10th St, Florence, OR 97439).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Future Farmers of America.
