It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Dwight Schwin (Eugene, Oregon), born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on February 8, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Schwin and Margaret Schwin. He is survived by: his sister Virginia Schwin Garvin; his wife Sharon Schwin; his children, Sonda Schwin Boyum (Eric Boyum) of Caldwell, Brad Schwin (Michele Schwin) of Eugene and Doug Schwin (Kristin Schwin) of Baker City, Oregon.; and his grandchildren, Caleb Schwin, Makeesha Boyum, Kyle Schwin, Jordan Boyum, Jessica Boyum, Ryan Schwin, Lucas Schwin, Zach Schwin and Kaitlyn Schwin.
In lieu of flowers the Schwin family asks that donations be made to one of Vern's favorite ministries that provides new wells for drinking water and sewing machines as a source of income for the residents of Malawi, Africa.
