She was predeceased by: her parents, Harve Slaven and Etta Slaven (Kidd); her husband James P. Owens; her son Merle Owens (Teresa); and her grandchildren, Mitchel, Michael Owens and Michelle Alig-Hahn.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Vukovich, Marvin Owens Sr. (Lupe) and Lora Hall (Gene); her sister Volena Stubbs; and her grandchildren, Laurie Ekman, Cyndi Esselstrom (Lee), Kristie Hall, Jeni Owens, Jamie Ferris (Vincent), Cassandra Pirtle (Aaron), Patricia Lewis (Cody) and Marvin Owens Jr. Along. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
