We are sad to announce that on September 5, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Ted Hicks of Eugene, Oregon, born in Hillsboro, Oregon. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Hicks and Janis Hicks; his former wife Margaret Best (Meg); his wife Meg Hicks; his sons, Colin and Dylan; and his siblings, Susan Noble (Norman), Jill Hicks and Scott Hicks (Marcia). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Womenspace/Hope and Safety Alliance or Food for Lane County.

“Dear Meg, Colin, and Dylan, I knew Ted through KEPW, where he was always kind, very helpful (possessing knowledge no others had), & responsive, which was so appreciated given that some times emergencies occurred that would interfere with the broadcast, requiring an immediate response. He & I communicated via email where he shared with me his observations & expertise. He encouraged me & I appreciated it. I am so sorry for your loss, which is a loss others feel, though less acutely.
