He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Reynolds Sr. and Mattie Reynolds; his siblings, Sam Reynolds Jr, Lottie Smith, Thaddest Reynolds and Verda May Reynolds; and his granddaughters, Allania Yarber and Anniyah Reynolds Taea Bolden.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Evelyn Reynolds; his son Robert Quentin Scott Reynolds (Natalie); his siblings, Lyllye Reynolds Parker, Deloris Reynolds Wilson, Lynda Reynolds Kemp, LeVirsie Reynolds, Edward Jerome Reynolds, Eddie B. Reynolds and Ernest Gilmore Reynolds; and also Mattie.
