He is survived by: his wife Kelli Schwab; his daughters, Jamilyn Granston (Ted) and Holly Herbert (Mark); his grandchildren, Mitchell, Justin, Patrick, Madison, McKenzie and Sophie; his siblings, Ronald, Barbara Greenman and Marilyn Black; and his son Jason Tyler Schwab. He is also survived by husband, father, brother and grandfather, he gave unconditional love, treasuring his six grandchildren, following their sports and activities, and earning the title "The World's Greatest Papa." The eldest of four children.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Rich's memory to research to combat Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
