It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jean Sorte of Eugene, Oregon, born in Culbertson, Montana, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Ed" Rucker and Mary Rucker (Gandrud); her sisters, Betty Ann Severson and Shirley Marshall; and her grandson Joseph Swanson.

She is survived by: her sister Rie Listoe; and her children, Bruce Sorte (Joanne), Sue Cordle (Ed), Jim Sorte (Sarah), Julie Swanson (Dick), Tina Sorte and Curt Sorte. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.
