He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Milton and Lillie Belle Bess (Ratledge); and his siblings, Jean Ezell, Darrel and Richard Bess.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his son Mark Bess (Sue); his grandchildren, Tim Bess (Lysandra) and Abigail Bess; his great grandchildren, Alora and Jacob Bess; and his sisters, Louise Hinkle, Carolyn Graves and Doris Guzman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Junction City building fund, 28957 West 18th Street, Junction City, Oregon 97448.
