She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam and Vera; her siblings, Loretta Wells, Margaret Bascom and Jack Swagerty; and her granddaughter Jaclyn Breazeale-Hughes.

She is survived by: her children, Elisa Chambers (Richard) of Eugene, Butch Hughes (Marla) of Eugene, Kelly Hughes (Nancy) of Eugene, Marion Hughes (Darrel) of Eugene and Kristina "Kris" Brakefield of Eugene; and her siblings, Bill Swagerty (Betty) of Eugene, Charles Swagerty (Veneta) of Springfield and Oma Banker of Prineville. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
