He is survived by: his parents, Gary Gaudette and Debra Gaudette (Pennington) of Eugene, OR.; his close friend Felicia Chaisson of Baton Rouge, LA.; his children, Charity Hites of Eugene, OR, Elizabeth Grooms of Caledonia, MS and Jon Gaudette Jr. of Atlanta, GA.; and his siblings, Cassidy Gaudette of Eugene, OR, Brian of West Point, NY, Michael of Eugene, OR., Matthew of Eugene, OR. and Sean Gaudette of Eugene, OR..

While serving in the Louisiana National Guard, Jon was assigned to the Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 225th Engineer Brigade in Pineville, LA, and most recently the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, where he was critical to multiple Storm Recovery and Covid response operations.
