Harrison Joshua Klaiss Obituary
On July 2, 2022, Harrison (Harry) Joshua Klaiss moved on from this Earth at 21 years old. He was born October 17, 2000 to AnnaMarie Klaiss (Corchiani) and Harry Spencer Klaiss, Jr. in New Jersey, joining his sister Rachael. Harrison was a writer and an artist, majoring in English and minoring in Creative Writing and Psychology at the University of Oregon. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Harrison was an exceptional athlete in a multitude of sports, including soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, and javelin throwing, would teach himself any instrument he could get his hands on, including acoustic and electric guitar, drums, and upright bass, and would order his food at the spiciest level. He was exceptionally hard-working and reliable, going above and beyond in his studies, jobs, and relationships to his family and friends. Harrison was thoughtful and kind. He lived to bring joy to others through his stories, poems, music, and jokes. He inspired creativity and passion in those closest to him. Harrison hoped to one day use his degrees to publish written work about medical advances in psychology and mental health, connecting people across backgrounds and lived experiences so that we could all learn from each other. Harrison touched many lives and was loved so much.
Harrison is survived by his parents AnnaMarie and Harry, his sister Rachael, and his beloved pets Blu and Maggie. A viewing for family and close friends will be held at Musgrove Family Mortuary (225 S Danebo Ave. Eugene, OR) on Thursday July 7, 2022 at 12:00PM.
