He is survived by: his siblings, George, Mae Spiesschaert (Vanaken) and Dairy Farm; his wife Linda of Eugene; his son Leon (Krisa); his grandson Tyler Spiesschaert of Bonanza, Oregon; his daughter Lori Spiesschaert; his grandson Tyson Horton of Klamath Falls; his siblings, Kay Smith (Jim) of Roseburg, Oregon, Dean Spiesschaert (Jody) of Wickenburg, Arizona, Lyle Spiesschaert of Forest Grove, Oregon, Joan Liebenrood of Portland, Glen Spiesschaert of Forest Grove and His; his nephews, Todd, Tim, Dan Smith of Roseburg and Ben; his niece Lisa Spiesschaert of Forest Grove; and his brother-in-law Robert Miklia of Bend.

Darrel never let Linda's Alzheimer take away his unending love for her and was her constant companion and guide.
