He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Frederick Schmidt and Loretta Schmidt (Fink); his daughter Christina Van Wagenen of Owego; his siblings, Fred Schmidt (Sharon) and Margaret DiMola (Ralph); his niece Jacqueline Lutz-DiMola; and his grandsons, Jordan and Hunter VanWagenen.
