He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charley Haikkila and Joseffina Haikkila (Nickils); his wife Katherine McGuffey (Hoppe); and his children, Diane Telen, Dan Haikkila, Yvonne Durant, Dale McGuffey, Velma Strickland, Marlene Velasquez, Neil McGuffey and Diane Lomeli. He was also cherished by 36 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren.
