He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Foster and Ruby Foster (Porter); his wives, Frances Pruesser and Lorita Thies (Strahl); and his siblings, Mary Kiggins and Lee Porter.
He is survived by: his son John "Jay" (Pam Foster Jr.) of Cusick, WA; and his grandsons, Kenny "Bubba" Thies and Kyle Foster.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the American Legion Hall (2003 21st Ave, Forest Grove, OR 97116).
