He is survived by: his wife Barbara Johnson Carpenter; his children, Carol Ward of Enterprise, OR, Sandy Hollingsworth (David) of Talent, OR and Nancy Kumaka (Kawohi) of Kailua-Kona, HI; his stepchildren, Cynthia Carpenter of Winters, CA and Greg Carpenter of Lewiston, ID; and his grandchildren, Brad Stephenson, Hoku'ala Kamaka, Jenny McDougall and Nick Carpenter. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.
