He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Smith and Henrietta Smith (Cruikshank); his wife Sharon; his daughter Sharma Kay Smith; and his siblings, Harry Smith, Tom Smith, Florence Smith, Marie Blanchard and Beulah Sams.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Smith of Elgin, Oregon and Connie Carter (Glen) of Elgin, Oregon. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
