He is survived by: his wife Irene Garlitz; his children, Paul (Romi Garlitz), John (Shannon Garlitz), Serena (Shad McKnight) and Alena (Jason Murges); and his grandchildren, Isabella Garlitz, Audrey Garlitz, Evan Garlitz, Ian Garlitz, Sophia McKnight, Michael McKnight and Spencer Murges.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Elgin St. Mary's Catholic Church (1290 Baltimore St, Elgin, OR 97827). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
