He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Higgins and Eva Higgins; his brother James Patrick Dickerson (Pat); and his son Joseph Higgins (Joe). He is survived by: his wife Debby (Debby); his daughters, Julie Hennigan (Steven) of Fort Myers, Kathleen Karch (Keith) of Richfield and Courtney Sergent (Michael) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Madison, Charles Hennigan, Maverick and Colt Sergent; and his siblings, Nancy Endicott, MaryJo Higgins, Kay Nakada, Mike Higgins, Donnie Dickerson and Percy Dickerson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
