“Peter was a treasured presence among my childhood friends. Like Molly and Elizabeth, I benefited from sharing the outdoors with someone so fully captured by its never-ending wonder. At a young age, he began putting on the skills of a consummate outdoorsman. He seemed so certain of this call, no matter the resistance of the adults around him. I admired him for that. Nature was his home and he had to be in it. He taught both a certainty of purpose and its joyful pursuit. His gift to us.”
