He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Laqua and Anna Rose Laqua Weick (Deming); his stepfather Luvern Weick; and his sisters, Diane Laqua, Patricia Duncan (Laqua) and Kathleen Nelson (Laqua).
He is survived by: his friend Bill W.; his sons, John Laqua (Lisa) of North Pole, AK and Mike Laqua of Huntington Beach, CA; his stepdaughter Joelene Ortega of Eagle Point, OR; his grandchildren, Alan Laqua, Keaton Laqua, Anna Laqua and Kamden Laqua; his siblings, Janet Healy (Tom), Marilyn Watterson, Jean Moldenhauer (Jim) and Bill Laqua (Kerry); and his brothers-in-law, Orv Nelson and Mike Duncan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that friends make a donation to the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Fund In Memory Program.
