He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmer Hanson and Norma; his aunt Selma Vrem; his grandfather Nels Vrem; his daughter Ronalee; his grandson Grant; and his brother John.
He is survived by: his former wife Kathryn Schrall; his children, Sue (Jim), Marjorie, David (Melody), Erin (Greg), Sara (Matt), Jeff and Tom; his wife Mary McWhirter; and his children, Jeffrey (Dawn), Vickie, Dennis (Connie) and Tammy (Oscar). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grand Children.
