He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Talbert and Hazel Talbert (Peebler); his wife Carol (Thornton); his sister Joanne Rea; his children, Nicole Davis (Tom), Ron (Sally), Maria Steiling (Paul) and Gary (Danita); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Janelle, Mark, Seth and Britni. He was also cherished by 17 great-grandchildren.

Ray committed his life to Christ, which sustained him during Carol's 10-year battle with Alzheimer's.
