He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Kuykendall and Grace Kuykendall; and his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his daughter Chris Schmidt (Neil) of Dallas; his grandson Kyle Schmidt (Deaven); his great grandchildren, Rhyan and Stevie of Salem; his grandson Joshua Schmidt of Dallas; and his sisters, Linda Mann (Bobby) of Canton, NC, Clara Winstead (Jesse) of Conover, NC, Loretta Holcombe of Conover, NC and Ruby Rhoads of Canton, NC..
