He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Sanders and Shirley Finch; his son Paul Sanders; his stepfather Raymond Wolfe; and his siblings, Harvey, John Sanders and Cynthia Dickenson.
He is survived by: his significant other Shirley Sheaffer; his children, April Jewel, Tammy Sirois and Brian Sanders; his stepchildren, Vicki Wilson, Karen Eckland, Wanda Brown, Marvel Hammers and Rodney Sheaffer; and his siblings, Cheryl Howell, Raymond Wolfe, Emily Chung and Candy Hatchard. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
