He is survived by: his children, Maria Tovar-Delacruz, Monico Tovar Jr. and Amanda Tovar-Miranda (Dishon); his former wife Gloria Tovar; his grandchildren, Miguel, Jose, Monica, Anthony and Adrian; and his brother Martin Tovar. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
