He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leon Shaw and Alma Shaw; his wife Dorothy; his children, Janice Keim (Jay Middleton), Ronald Shaw (Jennifer) and Norman Shaw (Seattle); and his siblings, Howard and Barbara Roberts. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Lions Club and before the pandemic hit, he enjoyed taking part in the activities at the senior center and hiking the many trails around Corvallis.
