He was predeceased by: his son Ricky Kessi; his father Delbert Kessi (Bert); his sisters, Faith Kessi and Mary Alice Dodd (Stan); his mother Evangeline Faith Kessi; and his son-in-law Rick Foss (Emilie Kessi).
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Stan Stobbe; his wife Emilie; his siblings, Ruth Coykendall (Ivan), RoseAnne Pearson (Tony), Olive Stobbe (Stan) and Donny Kessi (Frieda); and his children, Dawn Kessi Veldsma (Dick), Jim Kessi (Heather), Vernon Kessi (Theresa) and Darin Kessi (Gretchen). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
