It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Faddis in Corvallis, Oregon, born in Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Peterson and Huleh Peterson; her husband David Samuel; her children, David (Sally), Daniel (Beth) and Kate Spencer (Jacke); and her great grandchild Joyce Blankenship of San Marcos, CA.. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren.
She raised three children in San Diego, and was a 51-year breast cancer survivor, recognized by the American Cancer Society in 1977 for developing a pilot project for counseling breast cancer patients and their families.
