She was predeceased by: her husband John Newman; and her siblings, Lester, Donald, Darold, Helen and Margie.
She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Ross; and her sons, David (Cherry), Dennis (Carol) and Charles (Rose). She is also survived by three Grandchildren and two Great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olive's memory to St Peters Lutheran Church in Cornelius.
