He was predeceased by: his wife Arlys; and his son Brad. He is survived by: his siblings, Gene (Dolly) of Benson, Minnesota, Margaret Kvam (Ken) of Waconia and Barbara Rothenbuehler (Terry) of Rochert, Minnesota; and his children, Becky Fromhart (Duane) of Beaverton, Oregon and Brian Roberts (Michele) of Flagstaff, Arizona. He is also survived by four grandsons and one granddaughter; seven great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, and their children.
Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private outdoor ceremony was held on November 9, 2020 at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon, with military honors.
