He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bushong and Virginia Bushong (Gunn); and his brother Gary Bushong. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bushong; his children, Sharon (Jim Pranger), Rob Bushong of Forest Grove and Sandi (Brent MacLeod); his sister Jacquie; his brother-in-law Ray Shumway of California; his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Betty Bushong of Prineville, Oregon.; his grandchildren, Chris (Sharayah Pranger), Sharlene (Brandon Vance), Amanda Bushong of Tigard, Megan (Chris "Red" Simmons), Emma (Mitchell MacLeod), Charlie, Lillie Pranger and Aiden Simmons; and his pet Lulu. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
