He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Plott and Elmira Plott (Woods); his son John Daniel; and his sisters, Irene, Frances, Ruby and Lucy.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Plott, Tina (Kevin Prosenick), Teresa (Hector Hernandez) and Tom Bounds; his grandchildren, Ronnie, Amy (Kory), Joey (Fay), John (Whitney), Sydney (Shay), Jessica (Aaron), Derek (Lindsay), Alex, Cory (Venessa) of Goldie, TJ, Mary (Brian) and Josh; and his sister Mary Rutledge-Harrison (Ed).
