She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Viola Cartmill and Alfred Cartmill; her daughter Holly Travis; her grandchildren, Shannon De Jesus (Tony) and Justin Yandell of San Diego, California.; and her cousins, Nancy Maki (Bill) of Pierce, Jean Estoos of Astoria, Oregon., Ann Peitsch (Ralph) of Astoria, Oregon., Linda Takalo of Astoria, Oregon. and John Estoos (Barbara) of Astoria, Oregon..

Later she taught water and land exercise for the Arthritis Foundation.
