He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Renfro Thomas and Nellie Irene Thomas; his wife Emma; and his siblings, Dorothy and Ralph.
He is survived by: his children, Hope Irene Roll and Mark Gregory Thomas; and his sisters, Norma Jean and Doris Rebecca. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
