He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roger Clark Boyer and Mary Sue Boyer (McCord); his wife Elizabeth Boyer; his son Cody Boyer (Natasha); his siblings, Byron Boyer (Sheree), David Boyer (Trish) and Susan Beer (Rick); his stepgrandson Logan Hembling; and his granddaughter Ella Wren. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
