He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathy Sallander; his children, Kim Szalkiewecz (Mark) of Escondido, California, Travis Sallander of Brookings and Aaron McCord (Misty) of Doha, Quitar; his siblings, Don Sallander (Bonita) and Roberta Knight (Randy); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Daniel Szalkiewecz, Tamlyn Sallander, Morgan, Rhyleigh and Khyron McCord.
