It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia L. Pyka (Bend, Oregon), who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Clifford and Louise Elizabeth Davis; her husband David J. Pyka; her son Gary L. Richards; and her siblings, Jeanne E. Cailliez and Alvin C. Davis.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth A. Simpson (Michael); her grandchildren, Sarah E. Clark of Bend, OR and Jon M. Simpson (Amandalin); her great grandchildren, Rachelle E. Desmarais Bend (Micah), Bethany A. Johnson (Zachariah), Grant A. Simpson and Colton D. Simpson Grass Valley; and her nephews, Mark Davis (Terri), Timothy A. Davis (Cyndi) and Andrew M. Davis (Marcia).
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Chapel (20225 Cooley Rd, Bend, OR 97701).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in to honor Virginia to the Cardinal Otunga House, Bend, OR or the American Heart Association.
