With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rev. Dr. L. Dean Hempelmann of Georgetown, TX, born in Malta Bend, Missouri, who passed away on August 29, 2021, at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rev. Dr. L. Dean Hempelmann.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig and Katherine (Hempelmann); and his son Michael Allen. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mary Haake; his son Michael (Melanie); his daughters, Cheryl (John) and Lisa (James); his grandchildren, Kyle Hennen (Nataleigh), Andrew Glick (Amanda), Lauren Lawrence (Patrick), Sarah Hempelmann, Mason Hempelmann, Nicholas, Anthony and Tyler Candido; his great-grandchildren, Russell and Vera Hennen, and Judah Dean Glick; and his siblings, Roberta and DeWayne (Peggy).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: The Dean and Cathy Hempelmann Endowment Fund Concordia Lutheran Seminary 7040 Ada Blvd, Edmonton, Alberta, T5B 4E3.
