He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Baiamonte; his son-in-law Larry; his daughter Michele Crim; his son-in-law Glenn; his son Matthew DeWeese; his daughter-in-law Michelle; his grandchildren, Chris Simmons (Megan), Tyler Berlin and Vanessa Tipper; his great grandchildren, Colt Simmons and Sawyer Simmons; his siblings, Jack DeWeese and Judy Warner (Tom); and his former wife Betty Hester.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local dog rescue organizations in Joe's memory.
