He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Merrifield and Hazel Hamlin Merrifield; his former wife Eleanor Merrifield; and his sister Mae. He is survived by: his former wife Eleanor Gwynn; his wife Georgia; his children, Michael Merrifield (Jolyn) and Merri Goodrow (John); his grandchildren, Trevor Merrifield, Hannah Merrifield Crouch (Jonathan), Kelty Goodrow and Colden Goodrow; his stepdaughters, Noelle and Marla Blessey; and his pet Max. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
